Topic : Update daily VirtueMart products to Google Merchant Center

 Hello.

I want all my VirtueMart products updated daily in Google Merchant Center automatically so they are accesible in 24 hours at worst case in Google Shopping.

Actually I have the configuration set  MIN_RELOAD_INTERVAL=1, so I guess that is what I am describing.

But, I have it updated each 2 days, so I have to wait 48 hours to get indexed in Google Shopping.

Anybody knows what is happening or what should I do to notify automatically each day all my VirtueMart products to Google Merchant Center ?

Thanks in advance.

Topic : Failure message from server message

Hi,

Have been using Red Mystic for 6 months or so and have only recently had a problem with pulling the feed from our server.

Have checked the suggested areas below and these are all ok, or set correctly on Global config page

  • Your site is down for maintenance
  • Invalid SSL Certificate
  • SEF interference
  • Hardened-PHP
Test connection is OK, but test feed is showing failure message from our server.

Would be gratetful for any advice on other areas to check.

Our root URL is http://www.officeneedsshop.co.uk/

Thanks in advance

Tim

Topic : Products not showing up in google base

I followed the instructions but when I checked to see if my products are appearing, I notice that my products are not appearing either on redmystic or googlebase. Does this take more than a day to show up? Why is it not showing?

Topic : Long time googlebaser now ranking LOW despite High Data Quality

Ok maybe I didn't give the best example, but i'm having this problem on every product out of 200 where as before i generally ranked 1st or at least in the first 4.

Ok I've ran a test and when I submit the short description I get higher rankings than when I submit the long description, but then every item has errors as I have the MPN and GTIN codes in the long description so they aren't pulled when I set it to submit the short description.

So perhaps my problem comes down to simple keyword density in the description, as apparently google shopping uses only the data that you provide via the feed for ranking.

This would also explain why it is a more recent problem as I have been deliberately making descriptions more comprehensive with less keyword stuffing in order to improve in organic rankings.

Is there anyway to set redmystic to pull the MPNs, ISBNs & GTINs etc from the long description but actually submit the short description to google?

Hi,

All I can really tell you is that there are other sites that rank fine so that I don't believe it's redmystic that causing the problems.

why does your url look like this

scubapro-x-tec-single-or-double-wing-only-2

Shouldn't that be donut? That's a key word

Personally, I'd compare all the known things google is going to compare and see what your competitors are doing differently.

Hope that helps

Cheers,

Garry

Hi Garry,

I have had a worsening problem over the past 6 months, that has come to a head and I now need to solve this. I was hoping you could allay some fears and perhaps point me in the right direction.

My problem: On very specific keywords, despirte being the cheapest, and the closest geographically, and the closets match word for word in the title, most of my products do not rank on the first page of google search where as 6 months ago I was pretty much at the top for most of my products.

Even on products that I rank on the first page of google organically, I cannot rank in product search unless i set the codes up to go into the compare prices sections. And when I get into the compare sections i rank at the bottom of those, again despite being the cheapest and where I i used to rank 1st 6 months ago. I have looked at all the online info re this and I am doing everything correctly, plus your feed is setup to deliver way more info than anyone else does, and meets the positive requirements to get a boost through deliberate data stuffing (white hat method).

So my thoughts are this:

Perhaps google has taken a disliking to my site, although I doubt this as I rank high in organic search.

Perhaps goole has taken a dislike to the IP address that the data is sent from... Does the data go to them via yours or my server????

Perhaps there is a simple item missing in the feed which google is looking for, perhaps a better title, description, or maybe it doesn't like the generator, or the store image or title (Yours not mine), or maybe i'm missing the company name. See below

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

I'm really at a loss and was hoping that seeing as though you see a lot more of your feeds than I do, you could perhaps point me in the right direction.

What I can't understand is that I used to rank 1st... and now it's gone very bad.

It was this search on google UK shopping for a Scubapro Xtek Donut Wing that maid me realise just how bad it was. I rank at the bottom of the page in compare prices tab. It's like this for most of my products.

Can you help?

Hi,

Redmystic simply talks to Joomla for the SEF url. Joomla will then in turn talk to SEF programs and routers and provide a sef url back to redmystic.

The main issue right now is that we can't verify your sitekey on your site which the module will take care of. I'd recommend installing/publishing it so you can push your products to google and redmystic.

Cheers,

Garry

Hi Thomas,

You need to publish the module. We can't verify your sitekey.

Topic : Configuration Error

Hi,
Somehow I missed your post. Sorry about that. Anyway the issue is that the root url in the redmystic configuration needs to have a trailing slash on it. so http://mydomain.com/   instead of http://mydomain.com

if you're still having site_key issues let me know. From my end it looks like you've worked that out.

Cheers,
Garry

Hi,

i´ve got the same problem with sefpro and your solution works fine, but my sef url isnt shown correctly in the feed

It looks:

http://www.growlander.de/component/virtuemart/co2-tabs-extra-slow.html

instead of:
http://www.growlander.de/growshop/tools-a-hilfsmittel/co2-tabs-extra-slow.html

is the problem in redmystic or in sefpro?
