Hi Garry,

 

This is probably a problem with another extension, but could you tell me where RedMystic draws it's product URLs from. Some of our products are being uploaded with a URL including the Item_ID and some are uploading without, causing them to display incorrectly and a different SEF URL is created by artio.

 

eg our Suunto Vyper dive computer appears to upload with this URL www.aquanauts.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.product_details&product_id=18

 

instead of www.aquanauts.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&flypage=vmj_naru.tpl&page=shop.product_details&product_id=18&Itemid=56

The first URL misses the Item_ID and so displays without the shop menu.

 

So the problem is that some program somewhwre is creating the wrong URL. Where does RM pull it's data from?

 

Thanks in advance if you get the time to answer this, i know it's not an RM fault.

Hi Brian,

 

 The base url is created in redmystic and then I pull the item I from a virtuemart menu (if there is one.). Redmystic component talks to Joomla JRouter which in turn talks to a SEF program which produces the final SEF url. However I just realized that the itemid isnt making its way into the initial url. I must of had a problem with it along the way. Anyway, I've made a change and will email it to you. Let me know if it solves your problem.

As ever Garry your support has been superb!

 

I really can't believe you get the time for all these inane suport queries on a product that you don't charge for. I'll keep an eye out for the URL changes, i've only just managed to upload this (sorry for the late reply I'm traveling at the moment, and had a few days off)
