I use RedMystic for automating my virtuemart product feed to Google Base and I LOVE it.  I have nothing but good things to say about this component.  My question/request is if this process can be replicated to also include feeding my products to Bing Shopping and/or Pricegrabber/Yahoo Shopping??

This would be a killer update to be able to post products to multiple channels.

Is this possible?

Hi

Unfortunately there's nothing built in that will automatically submit to those. However if they accept product feeds in google format then you should be able to upload either the xml or zip file to them manually. Not great I know. the files are located here:  /components/com_redmystic/archives

Strategically I know redmystic needs to support these so it's definitely in the planning. Actually I'm very excited where it's heading. I think you will be too.

Cheers,

Garry

Hi,

You missed a step. You need to install and publish the redmystic core module. Once that's done redmystic server will be able to validate your site and initiate the feed process. The feed will end up in this directory /components/com_redmystic/archives

Cheers,

Garry

Hi,

no problem. I'll walk you through it.

1. Download the redmystic core module from redmystic.com in the downloads area

2. Within your joomla administrator area under extensions install the module on your site using the Joomla standard installer

3. Go to the module manager (under the extensions menu) and publish the module to your home page.

4. Go to the redmystic component in your administrator area and force a feed refresh by clicking the "notify redmystic" button on the product monitor page.

Cheers,

Garry
