i have been looking at the new ecommerce extension from discouri and they have developed Tienda, a new ecommerce solution, although in the early stages it does look and feel like it will be a better offering than virtuemart,

would you have any plans to develop the extension to work on this?

I'd love to but simply don't have the time.  What I'd suggest doing is emailing the teinda guys to see if they'd build it directly into their commerce component. I've setup a developer section on redmystic.com that describes how to communicate with redmystic.com.
